About Base Surveys

Stavros Digenakis is the Director of Base Surveys, with more than 20 years of hands-on experience across commercial construction, high-rise developments, residential projects, oil & gas, and major rail and infrastructure works. His background spans complex, technically demanding environments where accuracy, coordination and programme awareness are critical. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Geomatics), an Advanced Diploma in Spatial Information, and a registered TAE qualification. Stavros has also taught surveying at RMIT University, strengthening his ability to communicate clearly, mentor effectively and deliver practical solutions both on site and in structured training environments. Stavros specialises in construction set-out, control establishment, as-built verification, and project coordination—bringing a methodical, detail-focused approach to every stage of the build process. He understands the pressures of live construction environments and works closely with project teams to ensure obligations are met with precision and reliability. His approach is grounded, practical and outcome-driven, with a strong commitment to maintaining high professional standards while supporting the next generation of surveyors entering the industry.
